HR Specialist and Career Mentor, Istanbul

Get shortlisted. Get hired. Grow from week one.

I work in HR at a university in Istanbul. I read CVs and sit in interviews every week, so I can tell you what is actually keeping you out of the shortlist. Sessions in English or Turkish.

About

From intern to specialist, in the same HR department.

I studied Business Administration in English at FMV Isik University and graduated in June 2024. In my final year I started as an intern in the university's Human Resources department, building personnel files for new hires and keeping the archive in order. That internship became my current job as Human Resources Assistant Specialist.

Before HR I collected the kind of experience that makes me useful across a whole hiring process. I analysed 50,000 customer records at Boyner to build personas and map customer journeys. I sat on the Tosla product team at Akode, an Akbank subsidiary. I spent a summer in Virginia Beach selling face to face, in English, to strangers. I chaired the Business and Economy Club and organised a career summit with speakers from Skechers, Sodexo, Penti and Sipay.

Today I am also doing an MBA in English at FMV Isik University on a full scholarship. Part of my week is still spent on the other side of the table at career fairs, reading CVs and talking to candidates about open roles.

Why I do this

I do not want good people losing jobs they were right for, just because nobody told them how the process actually works.

Talk about your team
  • Hiring process design
  • Interview guides and scorecards
  • Onboarding for the first 30 days
  • Personnel files and document workflow

How it works

Three steps, no mystery.

  1. Book

Pick a service and send the form. I reply within two working days with available times and a short list of intake questions so we do not waste the session on background.

  2. Session

We meet online. Camera on, notes open. There is no scripted presentation. We work through your actual documents and your actual target roles, and I tell you plainly what is and is not working.

  3. Follow up materials

Within 48 hours you get the edited files, a written summary of what we decided, and a checklist for the next two weeks so the momentum does not die on the call.

Feedback

What people say after a session.

Sample quotes shown while real client feedback is collected.

I had sent about sixty applications and got two replies. Gamzenur rewrote the top third of my CV and explained why every line changed. I had four interviews in the next month and took an offer from the second one.

Sample name New graduate, now Junior Analyst

We were hiring from a spreadsheet and losing candidates between stages. She built us an interview guide, a scorecard and a proper onboarding week. Our last three hires all made it past probation.

Sample name Founder, early stage startup

The English mock interview was harder than the real one, which is exactly what I needed. She stopped me every time I rambled and showed me how to structure the answer instead.

Sample name Marketing Specialist

I wanted to move from operations into HR and had no idea whether it was realistic. In one hour we mapped which of my experience actually transferred and what to do about the gaps. I stopped guessing.

Sample name Career switcher

My LinkedIn had been the same since university. She rewrote the headline and the about section, and recruiters started messaging me within two weeks. Same experience, just finally readable.

Sample name Software Engineer

Free advice

Not everything should cost money.

I am putting the questions I get asked most into short videos. No fluff, no motivational speeches, just what recruiters in Turkey actually look at.

FAQ

Questions people ask before booking.

How much does a session cost?

Prices are listed on each service card above, and the exact figure is confirmed in writing before you pay anything. Students and recent graduates should ask about the reduced rate when they write to me.

Are sessions in English or Turkish?

Either, and you choose. The mock interview is normally in English because that is the point of it, but the feedback afterwards can be in Turkish if that is easier for you. CVs can be reviewed in one language or both.

Who is this actually for?

Mostly new graduates and professionals in their first few years who are applying and getting nowhere, plus small companies that are hiring without an HR function. If you are a senior executive looking for board level coaching, I am not the right person and I will tell you so.

How does a session run?

Online, one to one, video on. You send your documents beforehand so I arrive having already read them. Sessions are 45 to 60 minutes depending on the service, and I send written materials afterwards.

Can you get me a job at your university?

No. I do not sell job placement and I will never take money to put your CV in front of anyone. What I sell is preparation, so that when you apply on your own you are the candidate who is easy to say yes to.

How do I book?

Use the contact form at the bottom of this page or email me directly. Tell me which service you want and where you are in your search. I reply within two working days.

Contact

Tell me where you are stuck.

Write a couple of honest sentences about your situation. That is enough for me to tell you whether I can help and which session makes sense. If I cannot help, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
